Festivus for the Rest of Us: aka a very special outside-the-US giveaway

Remember when I said that I was thinking about doing a giveaway via Goodreads for non-US residents? I’m going ahead with it. As someone who has spent the majority of her life living outside the US, it’s important for me that the book be as available as possible to at least some people in other parts of the world. It’s been a long-running frustration of mine – having all the cool products be available only in the US. So it gives me great pleasure to announce that I’ll be giving away 7 signed copies of The More Known World to…

A Sneak Peek at The More Known World

A lot of friends have been asking me how The More Known World differs from The Oddfits. “It’s darker,” I’ve told them. “We find out a lot more about Ann’s childhood. And there’s a villain.” But like creative writing teachers always say: why tell when you can show? So I thought it would be more interesting to post a sneak peek of The More Known World here on this blog. I do plan to tweet and Facebook post a different snippet each day, five days before the novel officially launches on December 19th. (Feel free to follow me on either Twitter – @TiffTsao – or…

The Giveaway is Here!

Hi all. I just wanted to remind those who are interested that the giveaway for The More Known World has started! Many apologies for being late by a bit. The time difference between Australia and the US makes it a bit difficult to stay fully on top of things. And I truly had no idea that so many people would request it within the first 24 hours. But there are still some copies available here!

Heads up: get a free preview copy of The More Known World!

Good news for those of you who’ve been looking forward to reading The More Known World and who reside in the US. My publisher, AmazonCrossing, will be giving away 100 free e-copies of The More Known World before the novel’s official release on December 19th. So if you’re excited about exploring the More Known World and following the further adventures of Murgatroyd and Ann, then register your interest and you’ll get to do so ahead of the hoi polloi. (Not that there’s anything wrong with being the hoi polloi. By the way, interesting factoid: “hoi” means “the,” so despite common usage,…

New Book and New Look!

To answer your question, I did fall off the face of the earth. And now I’ve managed to scramble back on. Things have been hectic to say the least, but here’s a rundown on the more major accomplishments: I finished The More Known World, the second novel in The Oddfits series, and am really pleased with how it’s turned out. (I hope readers are too!) I completed the English translation of The Birdwoman’s Palate, working in close conjunction with the novel’s author – the inimitable Laksmi Pamuntjak. And I’ve signed a contract with Penguin Australia for a novel wholly unrelated to The Oddfits, which I’m in the…
