Tiffany Tsao is a writer and literary translator.

She is the author of But Won’t I Miss Me (HarperVia, 2026) and The Majesties (Atria Books, 2020; originally published in Australia as Under Your Wings with Penguin Random House in 2018).

She is also the author of the cult-favourite, the Oddfits fantasy trilogy (so far, The Oddfits and The More Known World). Her agent is currently seeking a new publisher home for the trilogy, which includes these two novels and the completed manuscript of the third.

Her translations of Indonesian literary works have been awarded the PEN Translation Prize, the NSW Premier’s Translation Prize, the Republic of Consciousness Prize for Small Presses in the UK, and listed for several others, including the International Booker Prize.

She holds a BA in English from Wellesley College and a PhD in English from UC-Berkeley, and lives with her husband and two children on Gamaragal land in Sydney, Australia. She currently holds the posts of Deputy Editor at the Sydney Review of Books and Editor at Dalang Publishing.
